The market place…
Yeah, right! “We lost the fight but not the war” – a very common phrase in describing the recent (election) defeat!
Of course, the defeat was already anticipated; just like what had happened to the SNAP President and his brood (and it’s pitiful, though)…
Such defeat can be summarized below:
- some people still love that senile, ailing thief minister and current gomen to rule Sarawak – for the next 10 years (?!) or so;
- these sort of people (the voters) are damn rich and can afford the high COLA;
- winning and losing is the norm of the game, i.e. while that senile and ailing guy and his cronies are getting their accounts fatter (day by day) and enjoying the rich that life can offer, the common folks have to suck their thumbs and have to fork out their hard earned living to survive!
It’s pretty obvious that such defeat was also been contributed by the following factors:
- election fraud – no one can deny nor contest against it!;
- money corruption – each corrupt voter was bribed with as low as RM10.00 per vote;
- other malpractices.
My colleagues and I does have reasons to be overjoyed – over few cans of beer!
- the DAP has done well in capturing 80% of the contested seats, while PKR is only able in capturing 6% of the contested seats! Read this; including this for comparison.
- Aki Jus has announced his retirement from active politics; how about Nyarok?!
- one of my colleagues smiled from ear to ear as the DAP has finally captured “SUPP’s fortress”! His kampong is now surrounded with oil palms – thanks to BN-SUPP’s greed!
Anyway, let’s not lose hope, folks! Imagine that we are just getting involved in the commodity stock market and the market is bouncing back… Just hold the shares tight and try not to sell it!
So, let’s focusing on “rebuilding” ourselves by remaining strong and healthy – all the time…
“STRIVE HARDER TO WIN (RURAL) VOTERS’ MINDS, HEARTS AND SOULS”
It’s mission possible, folks!

DO NOT lose hope; let’s STRIVE harder!

Tiyung Dayak a.k.a. Teddy a.k.a. Ted a.k.a. TD
Who is this Tiyung Dayak guy?!
Yes, I have appointed myself as a Blogotician prior to the 12th General Election, which was held all over Malaysia on March 08, 2008. And for the first time in Malaysian history since her independence from the Brits 50 years ago, 2/3 of BN majority has been denied by the opposition. Yes, thanks again to the advancement of ICT – the domain factor that has proves its effectiveness in this cyber war games, where blogs and blogging are the submain factors that has and ever will influence voters’ perception toward ineffective Malaysian leaders (and not just the ineffective Bidayuh leaders).
Since time immemorial (?!), the Malaysians have been denied the truth and most of the time they have been fed with true lies through the gomen-controlled mainstream media! Based on my random survey, it is safe for me to conclude that almost 85% of Malaysian population did not have access to the ICT. But then, there is hope for the better, especially among the young, educated Malaysians, as they are now the major force behind this IT Age Revolution, who are gradually aware about the importance of ICT and put in use in their daily life.
Yes, I hereby take an “e-oath” that I’ll be a responsible Blogotician and practice my rights to express my views freely (here and there!) for the betterment of the future of Bidayuh young ones…
In the name of “Hope for a Better Future” I swear, lah…
Disclaimer: Yes, correct! Come to know him (first) before you’ll love him (and NOT the other way round)… L.O.L.!!!

- BN defensive as Penang tops manufacturing investment UPDATED @ 10:39:41 PM 21-02-2012 By Lee Wei Lian February 21, 2012 KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 21 — The performance of Pakatan Rakyat controlled states in attracting manufacturing investment prompted a minister today to play up the federal government’s role in their success. The Ministry of International Trade and Industry released figures today that showed that the federal opposition controlled states of Penang and Selangor had recorded the highest levels of approved manufacturing investment in 2011, at RM9.1 billion and RM8.74 billion respectively. This is the second year in a row that Penang and Selangor have topped the ranks for approved manufacturing investment and a sharp contrast to 2009 when Sarawak attracted the highest levels of manufacturing investment and Penang came in fourth. Another Pakatan Rakyat (PR) state, Kedah came in fifth in 2011 with RM6.13 billion, behind Barisan Nasional (BN) controlled Sarawak which was in third place at RM8.45 billion and Johor with about RM6.5 billion. The economic performance of PR states is closely watched as many voters and analysts use it as a gauge of whether the coalition is a viable alternative to the ruling BN. Minister for International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said in a media briefing today that Penang had done well since the 1980’s due to strong support from the federal government. He also said that not all federal opposition controlled states had done well. “If my (opposition) friends want to say that Penang has done well because it’s ruled by the opposition, what do you say about Kelantan?” said Mustapa. Kelantan, Mustapa’s home state which is administered by PAS, recorded only RM444 million in approved manufacturing investment last year. The minister said that the federal government had continued to invest in Penang, including the expansion of the island’s airport and the construction of a second link to the mainland. “We’re not saying that the state government’s haven’t done anything, but the federal government is working very hard,” he said. Mustapa (picture) added that the federal government had spent large sums of money developing infrastructure in Penang, the Klang Valley and in the Iskandar region in south Johor. In terms of total investment however, Penang lost out narrowly to Sarawak which received a huge boost from oil and gas investments. Sarawak attracted some RM14.35 billion in total investment last year, to Penang’s RM14.038 billion Sabah was third with RM13.68 billion, followed by Selangor at RM13.47 billion and Johor with RM12.64 billion. Mustapa said that Sabah, Sarawak and Johor were the beneficiaries of huge oil and gas investments with Petronas alone investing RM6.7 billion in Sarawak. In Johor, it was the huge investment by Dialog in the Pengerang oil terminal that made up the single largest chunk of the state’s investment. US newswire Bloomberg had in October last year described Penang’s growth into Malaysia’s “biggest economic success” despite the federal government’s focus on Johor and Sarawak, as a boost to PR’s credibility. It pointed out that under the Najib Administration’s Economic Transformation Programme (ETP), the federal government is promoting RM65.8 billion worth of private sector-led projects for Johor and a mere RM375 million for Penang.
