Tiyung Dayak – “The Sour Dayak Apple” in Bidayuh Politics

For the Greater Glory of Bidayuh Politics

Weather Alert: Windfall – forecasted at about 40.2 km/hour – only at Batang Ai!!!

Last month – around mid February – a federal Santa Clown flown to Kuching to give away a RM4.0 million goodies to (the) DBNA. And then, as reported by the Broken Shield on March 10, 2009, another RM40.2 million goodies have been promised by another federal Santa Clown to N. 29 Batang Ai voters (in particular)…

Wow! Too much of rakiyats’ money had been (and are going to be) spent, especially in these tri-b(u)y-elections nationwide, which are scheduled to be held simultaneously on April 7, 2009! The amount for Sarawak alone, however, is yet to reach “hundreds” of million, or it couldn’t be. Nay… maybe around RM4.0 million + RM40.2 million + RM5.8 million = RM50.0 million or it could be less than that! As we know, that amount is just “a peanut” to BN, as compared to billions of RM of exported products produced in Sarawak (for the past many years!). Anyway, let’s call such “goodies” as “innovative goodies“.

Innovative goodies“, uh?! Even MoSTI couldn’t allocate part of its so called “innovative (research) grants” to develop, design and build cheap electrification system for some rural areas in Sarawak and Sabah, as most of its grants were gone wasted oversea for some “irrelevant and unproductive” R&D works! Again, “unproductive“, uh? Well, that money is better to be spent on basic “human reproductive system” R&D, lah… Aiya!!!

Anyway, it’s good to know that both gomens (federal and state) are recently “very concerned” and wanted to develop N. 29 Batang Ai (including its remotest area?!) into an IT hub. Is it going to be a reality?! Yes, of course, Malaysia Boleh! Batang Ai (Dam) pun boleh bikin tapi rakiyat maseh miskin…

I’m wondering: did the late Mr. Unting fulfill his election promise(s) made to N. 29 Batang Ai folks during his last campaigns prior to 2006 state election?! Ooops, OK! May God grant peace upon his soul (p.b.u.h.peace be upon him)… Amen+

How about PRS?Ooops, I did it again” ~ Britney Spears…

And thank God as I almost forgot! I’ve some goodies for you, folks! My friend and I got the idea from the articles contained in the Broken Shield (Figures 1 and 2 – just click on the images for details).

Sambar Deer (Mr. Payau @ Rusa)

:

Don’t play-play, pal… Once the RM40.2 million is available, we don’t have to travel far in search for food. They’ll buy us animal feed to eat – pal…

:

That’s true, boss!
Riverine Snail I (Mr. Kuyong Kerikap)

:

You’re (damn) right! Once you’re well fed, they’ll slaughter you and cook your meat…
Riverine Snail II (Mr. Kuyong Bo)

:

O’ yeah… People will no longer mocking you as “bare-footed“, right… You’ll get your own shoes, pal… to be bought (and provided) by them!
Rooster (Mr. Manok Labang)

:

Damn…
Cikgu JJ

:

Don’t get too excited, even if you are at the top of the world waterfall (as there are lots of rapids/waterfalls ahead of the journey). It means that one shouldn’t be too excited about the goodies, as the (political) struggle is still a long way to go!

An important message to project broker(s), developer(s), consultant(s), contractor(s), sub-contractor(s), conmen, suppliers, coolies: “Do your math from now on, pals!
