Tiyung Dayak – “The Sour Dayak Apple” in Bidayuh Politics

For the Greater Glory of Bidayuh Politics

The demons…

Ooo… It sounds scary and yet funny, aye? Nope, it’s not!

My today’s article – in part is to condemn the silly acts by the so called Muslim Malay extremists in the capital city. They didn’t know on what they’re doing. On our part, let’s pray to the Lord JC to forgive them and send His Spirit upon them, so that they – one day – will have a change in their hearts. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen+

Well, as I said before, I’m not a Biblical scholar, but I knew on what’s good and what’s evil. The Lord JC always reminds us to “stay awake, as we do not know the hour… (Matthew 24: 42 – 51).” That’s why personal prayers to the Lord JC act like a protection shield against evil (doers) (and of course, frequent visits to the Church and receive Holy Communion are important – if one have the privilege to do so). In fact, we have been told to act like Roman Legionaries, i.e. by getting ready with our helmets, breastplates, belts, shoes, shields and swords (and of course, spears!) (Ephesians 6: 10 – 24).

Therefore, we – Christians – are constantly being reminded that we must pray (at all times) whenever the Spirit inspires us (Ephesians 6: 18). And again, we have been reminded to dress properly whenever we are going to give the Lord a visit – so as to make us worthy in front of Him, i.e. in receiving Holy Communion (NO short and/or tight pants, singlets, T-shirts with “evil” images or marks, mini dresses, whatever (including tattooed marks)…).

For Christians, the Nicene Creed (Profession of Faith) says it all. In Romans 10:9, our souls will be saved if we profess and confess (with our lips and hearts) that: 1) Jesus Christ (JC) IS Lord; and 2) God raised Him from the dead. If you may, read through the whole Chapter 10 of St. Paul’s Letter to the Romans (and look for verse 9). Does anyone out there dare to say that JC IS NOT alive today? If He isn’t alive, then how come the staunch Jewish scholar like Paul got converted and became one of His beloved disciples?

In fact, if you’re diligent enough (to do some extra readings), our living Saints (with the help from our Lord JC) have did some good deeds, even to the Muslim(s). You may read about the stories of Lebanese Saints – Hardini, Charbel, Rafca and Maroun – here. Another exciting website is attached here.

The question: Do we need to retaliate (against the odds)? The answer: No need lah, we’ll just stay cool (over this heated issue). And why should we waste and direct our energy for such a stupid retaliation?! We all knew that “God is Love” and thus, we must stand firm in loving and living side by side with our Christian and non-Christian brethrens.

To conclude, it’s sufficed to say that demonstrators were influenced by the demons
