Tiyung Dayak – “The Sour Dayak Apple” in Bidayuh Politics

For the Greater Glory of Bidayuh Politics

Been busy lately, huh?!

Yup; take note that after been in the sleeping mode (since 2006!), the santas are now coming to our towns and kampongs!

Yup! It’s goodies season, what!? They (the ADUNs – including their accompanying MPs) are now being busy in distributing goodies after been “caught lied” to Mr. Prime Minister! Even Dave has also been caught lying – including his “companion”!

Dave also said something like “… in July (2011)”; where it’s pretty obvious that it’s going to be held next month! Yup; it’s school holiday – again!

See today’s Borneo Post online edition here. Some of the screen shots are shown below. Anyway, the last three of the news items are really “hot items”…

It’s tea time, folks!

Tea – of any brand name – is my favorite drink! I just had a mug of low grade OSY (Ong Sam Yong) tea – a Singapore-based “tea dust (?!)” but repacked in Batu Pahat; bearing “Dragon Phoenix Tea Dust (Teh Cap Naga Burung)” trade name with featured illustration of a phoenix and a dragon with its dragon ball (sounds “Masonic”, uh?) and imported into Sarawak by a Sibu-based distributor and finally consumed by myself! And it costs me RM7.00 per can for a 150 gm tea dust!

The taste?! Hmmmph; OK lah!; but then, I think it contains lots of artificial flavoring and coloring! A recycled, ye-olde tea stock, I guess!?

Well, the above was only the foreword; I’m not going to talk about normal tea party, but yes!; I’m going to talk about TEA PARTY in the U.S. politics, lah!

As we all know, the U.S. politics are governed by a dual (or two) party systemRepublicans and Democrats – although there are minor political parties involved. Same thing happened in Malaysia; so there’s no need to elaborate!

Now; back to the Tea Party again! If we read this, this, this, this and this, you and I tend to concur that the real problem lies with the current U.S. economics deterioration!

Read the following quotes:

The sentiment was not hard to find across the country in an election that took place against a backdrop of persistently high unemployment, no sign of real improvement in the economy and politics roiled by division.

I worked hard for 30 years, and all I see is my money being eaten up by somebody who thinks he knows how to spend it better than me!

I blame the banks, and I blame their greedy nature in terms of not opening up their lines on small business.” [Source]

—————————–

If the Democrats lose two out of three tough races in Indiana they are going to lose the House.” [Source]

—————————–

Governors were directly in the line of fire in high unemployment states, and many had already been casualties of the worst economic downturn since the 1930s. Unlike the federal government, most states can’t borrow to spend or print money.

That resulted in higher taxes and layoffs across the nation. In the budget year that ended in September, 29 states increased taxes by a total of $24 billion, the largest amount in more than 30 years, according to the bipartisan National Governors Association.

That didn’t lead to an atmosphere conducive to incumbents seeking re-election; or for members of the party that now controls the White House and both houses of Congress.” [Source]

—————————–

We’ve come to take our government back.”

I will honestly say that I voted for him two years ago,” said Sally McCabe, 56, of Plymouth, Minn., stopping to cast her ballot on her way to work. “And I want my vote back.

In Cleveland, Tim Crews, 42, said he measures Obama’s performance by the number of paying miles he drives in his delivery van. His miles have tripled to $9,000 a month. Crews said of the economy: “It’s moving. I know, because I’m moving it.” He voted accordingly.” [Source]

—————————–

Well, as you can see, all of the above quotes revolve around economics, i.e. dissatisfaction (or discontent) over economic recession; it became problematic due to so many “high rates” of unemployment, inflation, currency devaluation, etc.! Anyway, I got a limited knowledge in economics, so do sought help here, here, here and here!

Now; back to Sarawak! Do you know that an XXL, canned stewed pork from China nowadays costs RM12.00 per can (or it could cost more in the Ulu)?! Believe it! Anyway, it tastes good for a soupy meal – to be mixed with crushed, young tapioca leaves!

The point is: Never again let that ye-olde, shaman-minded guy to lead us (including this guy); it should be us that have the privilege to carve our own destiny for a better future! Yup; it’s disgusting to know that the ye-olde man played a dirty trick on Ningkan last time!

Yes, we can!” shouted Obama about two years ago… But then, he failed miserably!

And “change we must”, is the current derivative, lah! How far it goes, we’ll never know; until the time is come as a soothsayer already predicts that it would happen somewhere, somehow in July 2011!

So, what do you say, Papayuk?!

Too much rain won’t make it good, lah!; kawan…

You know what, folks?! I just browsed yesterday and today’s e-paper and was a little bitshocked”…

Yup; the rain is comin’…

… meaning that it’s spawning season, lah!

For the frogs, of course! Read it here, here, here and here!

Hey, Johnny! Nakal you, huh!; frogging around?!

And, yup!; Jack the Ripper is also coming to town after being an MIA for (how many long?)…

“By way of deception, we shall do war!”

Well, some of us already knew about the above quote – literally rephrased from Proverbs 24:6. Yup, it is the former slogan of the world’s infamous organization (read this; including other “relevant” topics such as this, this, this; this, this, this and this)…

I do agree that in politics, we shouldn’t trust anybody! Yup, politics are dirty! Let say, even if you and I are (the future) politicians, we shouldn’t trust our (very own) PAs – be it Personal Assistant(s), Political Advisor(s), para Pekerja Am (general workers), whatever…

My humble question is this: What caused “the recent defection” to occur?

We do not know THE REAL answer; except some wild gossips that are spreading fast like wild fires… Yup, the ye-olde motives are now been resurfaced!

Again, politics are indeed dirty! The above quote says it all, where all sorts of trickery are to be used to fool other people. Anyway, the judgement is yours to decide!

Read the news cutting below, including this, this and this! Yup, there are sorts of “parallelism” (or tendency) in between the lines; so, it’s gonna be very, very interesting, folks!

The “Clear and Present Danger” for the Bidayuhs!

Hi folks! It has been quite a long time since our last encounter before Gawai 2010, uh…

And the same goes to our friend, Dyaksblog!

What?! I can’t believe that he’s active in Facebooking and/or Twittering…?! L.O.L.!!!

Anyway, I got few news clippings sourced from thesundaypost (August 8, 2010 Edition), as shown below. I put it under the “eminent danger” file name. Anyway, you should be the judge, as the state election is around the corner and vote-fishing is imminent… Yeah; the first “goodies” of RM30 million has been announced and waiting to be grabbed (by the opportunists, of course)!

WE HAVE THE PUP! Yeah, right…!!!

After Christmas 2009 and New Year 2010 celebrations, our Orthodox Christian brethrens are now celebrating their own version of Christmas today. Right here in Malaysia, our Chinese friends are readying themselves for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration, which is to be held in conjunction with Valentine’s Day (Wow!) on February 14, 2010.

Talking about (any kind of) celebration, the most “strenuous” thing to do has have to be with house decoration, right? Am I wrong?! Hmmmph!

Yeah, the ladies in the house, I’m sure, would be the busy bees with the housekeeping and decoration. And one of the distinct decorative features would be the curtains – be it new or reused curtains (from the previous occasion or celebration). Anyway, there’s a term to describe this. If some of you can’t grasp it, it is known as “window dressing”…

Yeah, “window dressing” is the current terminology used by Sarawakian folks (especially among the Bidayuh veterans) to describe the current event that’s happening in Sarawak right now. Anyway, as usual (as to excuse myself), “I have no further comment” on that!

OK³! Right – he deserves that, aye!? How come? Well, if you may folks, kindly refresh your memory via this flashback!

Melancong ke sana sini boleh, asalkan jangan melencong ke sana sini nanti, sudah lah! Some of us knew that this guy used to hook up at “Kera-OK session” (including other dirty habits) in the past…

Not to “backstab” him lah, but this serves as a plain reminder to other future political aspirants! Anyway, we all hope that he would be a very³ good boya boy…

For sure, we’ll be right back to track on his report card. His previous record was marked with a “D”! Aiyah! Click on this link (the Hansard (Penyata Rasmi Parlimen) PDF files), as it might serve on how to do the tracking

Bawak bertenang, Pa’ Chik…

Dear Pa’ Chik Dawos,

We (yes, “we”) are hereby refer to your statement below, as published in today’s Borneo Post, April 14, 2009 Edition. Thanks anyway for sharing your grouses with us.

Our dearest Pa’ Chik Dawos, you are not alone, and we do understand and share the common problem for being unable to get jobs in the public service… Yes, it’s true that we do shed the crocodile tears since you are not given any of the spoon-fed jobs (tissue paper, please…). But then, you are luckier than some of us, as you got the state job(s). Be thankful to Allah for it, as you still got bountiful monthly allowance.

How about some of us, as the majority of us are still unable to get stable jobs? We would like to get decent jobs and incomes to improve our livelihood. How are we going to survive with low paying jobs – with an average monthly income less than RM1,000.00? We are hoping that you and other Dayak YBs would play some important roles in pushing both fed and state gomens to open more jobs in the public service for all Malaysians, especially Sarawakians. You have voiced your concern about the inequality of 1Malaysia concept. Sound fishy?! Get some apples! You and we knew that such concept is kind of a recycled concept, so you and we are not impressed at all! Or have you?

So, is that what you are been paid for – all this while? Good for you, Pa’ Chik Dawos… Keep the fighting spirit lives on. If not then, we would agree to the SMSes sent to you earlier (not by us) that you, Riot and Tiki should resign from all the party (including other) posts, so as to enable another new buy-elections. How about that? Are you thinking that the three of you are indispensable? What a joke!

By the way, it’s pathetic to read your following statement: “My political career started with BN and will end in BN“.

Really?! We have NO FURTHER COMMENT on that! Tao sama tao saja lah…

Thanks, but NO!, George!

Yes, George did it again – as reported at the front page of yesterday’s Borneo Post! It’s fine and it doesn’t matter whether the Dayak Bidayuh MPs have delivered 100% of the seats to BN or not.

Nay, a federal post is just nothing if you can’t deliver any progress to your respective constituency, isn’t it? They (I mean those Dayak MPs) are just puppets (deputies), while their master puppets (fool ministers, partying presidents, etc.) control everything!

It’s just like when(ever) you apply for an IRPA (Intensified Research in Priority Areas) grant, it won’t be guaranteed that whether you can get it or not from MoSTI, lah… Your project proposal(s) should be in (a) working condition…

Thanks for the lobbying job (?) done, George! I don’t think the Bidayuh people will take (a) riot into the street just because all their MPs were not given any of the Federal post! Anyway, the path is now slowly being cleared of lallangs… Now it’s time (to burn the lallangs) for Getah Kawén Masing planting project(s)… Nay, that’s a lie!

RM4.0 million?! Better than nothing, lah!

Rumors are crisscrossing all over the beautiful country this morning that Najip is going to “hand overRM4.0 million to the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) – today – during his state visit to Kuching, lah! How true it is, you and I don’t know! Well, it’s Sarawak’s oil and timber monies, anyway!

It makes me wonder: how the money is going to be “wisely” spent by the Bidayuh top brass – IF and IF this rumor will turn out to be true… Yup, I’m sure that it would be more than enough to bail out the failedbudget hotel” business in the city… Aiya!

Well, a rumor is a rumor, but then, it could be a BIG tumor! I mean, if it is true, it would then be a major headache for those who are going to manage it. What kind of projects, etc. Yup, there will be a financial audit by the year end, right!?

As part of the rumor, Najip now knows that the Dayak Bidayuhs really “exist” in Sarawak… And prior to that, he just memorized “Dayak Ibans and Kadazans” in his “pea sized” brain…

L.O.L.!!!

The “Ruckus”…

The majestic Mount Penrissen – once a sacred mountain to the Bidayuh Dayaks and is now the site for Borneo Highland Resort – is once again going to be raped by greedy politicians and developers in the name of “economic debolotment” (read: limestone extraction)!

The Land Code. January 23, 2009 Edition.

Borneo Post. 2009. Notification/Gazette: The Land Code. January 23, 2009 Edition.

In Bengoh mountain range right now, the limestone extraction is on the way. Ah, forget about the Bengoh Damn!

The Bidayuh Dayaks should have one, united voice to make SUPP vanish from the top of Mount Penrissen – for ever!
